Kirsten Gallon  > Animals > San Diego Wild Animal Park
We are truly blessed here in the San Diego area. Not only do we have one of the world's most outstanding zoos, but we also have the San Diego Wild Animal Park. It is great to be able to have these two places to choose from when wanting to photograph exotic animals, that otherwise we wouldn't be able to see unless we traveled to many other countries. I do hope one day to get to photograph the animals in their natural environments, but until then, I will take advantage of both the San Diego Zoo and the Wild Animal Park.

Kirsten Gallon > The keepers handling the cheetahs just walk in and pet them like they are regular house pets. I was amazed. Apparently all three cheetahs are females that have been raised by the keepers since they were babies. No wonder they are able to have such a friendly bond.
